We were looking to adopt a second dachshund as a friend for our long haired dachshund, Scarlett. We saw an ad online for 4 month old Hudson, as his family was looking to rehome him. We knew we had to add him to our family, with one look at his adorable face. We did not know he was double dapple until after adopting him. I noticed his right eye seemed to be a little malformed/tilted so I took to the internet to research dapple dachshunds and potential ailments. I came across information about double dapples.   1. A Double Dapple Dachshund is the result of breeding two Dapple's Dachshund together. 2. Dapple is NOT a colour it is a pattern. 3. Double Dapple Dachshunds are usually found to have two blue eyes or one blue eye or can be known to have one dark or both dark eyes.  4. Double Dapple Dachshunds can be Deaf, Blind, or Impaired and have allergies. 5. Double Dapples will tend to show large white areas on the body and will usually not have symmetrical markings. 6. Double Dapples are prone to having "Micro eyes" 7. Yes a Double Dapple Dachshund is still prone to IVDD  8. Yes you can train a blind and deaf Double Dapple Dachshund  9.   Molly Moo The Double Dapple Dachshund 1. What is your Double Dapples Name and how old is she? Molly Moo  and she is 1.5 years old 2. How did you end up with your Double Dapple and did you know she was a Double Dapple when purchasing/rescuing/adopting? Yes we knew Molly was a Double Dapple when collecting her from the breeder we just did not know the extent of her issues, yet we knew we could give her the best home possible. 3. Does your Double Dapple have any impairments/health issues? Molly is 100% Deaf and has sight issues 4. What has it been like to own a Double Dapple? It has been a challenge, we won't lie! You wouldn't think that Molly is deaf as it never stopped her from being a ball of sass. She is a very very determined little sausage and knows what she wants! She has filled out hearts and home with so much love and laughable moments. From barking at shadows, her own reflection or chasing butterflies shadows.  5.
